Comparison of Quality of Rhizome Dioscorea between Geo-authentic and Non-authentic Producing Areas

Abstract

Objective To compare the quality of Rhizome Dioscorea in different producing areas.Method The same varieties of Rhizome Dioscorea were cultivated in different areas at the same time and then the main chemical compositions were analyzed.Result The contents of starch, protein,extraction and polysaccharose are different in Rhizome Dioscorea from different producing areas.The contents of starch and polysaccharose are higher in geo authentic Rhizome Dioscorea.Conclusion It is one of characters that the content of polysaccharose in Geo authentic crude drug is higher than that of non authentic ones.
