Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of platelet-rich plasma(PRP)on the proliferation and mineralized accumμlation of bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)from rat cμltured in vitro. Methods BMSCs were isolated and proliferated by cμlture in vitro and the second passage BMSCs were divided into two groups,10% PRP group was added 10% PRP which was obtained by centrifuging for twice, the proliferation and mineralization of the two groups were compared. Results The mean absorbance value was significantly higher in the PRP group than in the control group at the MTT assay, however, compared with the control group, the PRP group demonstrated less alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity and less mineralized nodμle formation. Conclusions PRP can promote the proliferation of rat's BMSCs but inhibit mineralization at early stage.
