Abstract

Objective: To examine the effects of immune function of erythrocytes in patients of chronic gastritis infected with Hp (Helicobacter pylori, Hp). Methods: 128 patients with chronic gastritis (86 patients with Hp+, 42 patients with Hp- ) and 38 healthy volunteers served as control group were examined by using the immune function of RBC by R-rosette to detect RBC-C3b RR%and RBC-ICR. Results: The RBC-C3b 3b RR%in the patients with chronic gastritis was lower than that in the control group (P0.01), while the RBC-ICR%was higher than that in control group(P0.05).The RBC-C3b RR with Hp+ patients were significantly lower than that of patients with Hp- (P0.05),and RBC-ICR%were significantly higher than the later (P0.05). Conclusion: Alteration of immune function of red blood cells in chronic gastritis correlates to Hp infection.
