Abstract
Weak chemiluminescence method was used to research the scavenging abilities on O-2·,·OH and H2O2 of total alkaloids from lotus leaves, and compared with those of aqueous extract of lotus leaves, alcohol extract of lotus leaves and vitamin C.The results showed that the IC50 of scavenging O-2·,·OH,H2O2 for total alkaloids from lotus leaves were 305 μg·mL-1,50 μg·mL-1,3700 μg·mL-1,respectively.The total alkaloids from lotus leaves had the stronger antioxidant activity with the strongest scavenging ability on ·OH.Aqueous extract and alcohol extract of lotus leaves had a certain scavenging abilities on O-2·,·OH,and their scavenging abilities on·OH were stronger than that of vitamin C.
