Abstract

The flavonoids extracted from lotus leaves were isolated and purified by AB-8 macroporous adsorption resin, and its antioxidative effects were measured and evaluated by using DPPH free radical scavenging,FTC and TBA methods respectively. The results show that the total flavonoids in lotus leaves have strong capacity for scavenging DPPH free radical, and car effectively inhibit linoleic oxidation. And when the additive concentration of the flavonoids extracted from lotus leaves reached 0.30mg/mL,its antioxidative effect was as good as that of 0.01% BHT.
