AMLODIPINE COMBINED WITH ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS WITH CAROTID ARTERY INTIMA-MEDIA THICKNESS

[Objective]To investigate the combined amlodipine atorvastatin calcium in hypertensive patients with carotid artery intima-media thickness.[Methods]The hospital from December 2008 to June 2009 120 cases were treated randomly divided into two groups and the control group 60 cases,the control group with amlodipine and enalapril treatment,observation group were treated with ammonia amlodipine combined with atorvastatin calcium therapy,patients were compared 12 months of carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT),plaque area and blood pressure,blood lipid levels.[Results]The treatment group after 12 months IMT,plaque area reduction was significantly better than the control group,P﹤0.05;The observation of blood pressure,serum total cholesterol(TC),serum low-density lipoprotein(LDL),serum triglyceride ester(TG)level were significant improved before treatment,and was significantly better than the control group,P﹤0.05.[Conclusion]The combination of amlodipine atorvastatin calcium can significantly slow down the process of carotid atherosclerosis,can achieve stability and plaque regression.
