Analysis of Adverse Drug Reactions Induced by Traditional Chinese Medicine Injections in Wuhan Dongxihu District People's Hospital During 2010-2012

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the occurrence,characteristics and regularities of the adverse drug reactions( ADR) induced by traditional Chinese medicine injections in our hospital to guide clinical rational use of traditional Chinese medicine injections. METHODS: Using retrospective analysis,72 ADR cases induced by traditional Chinese medicine injections submitted by our hospital to National ADR Monitoring Center from Jan. 2010 to Dec. 2012 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: The adverse drug reactions( ADR) induced by traditional Chinese medicine injections in our hospital manifested differently,chiefly lesions of skin and its appendages,accounting for 59. 6%. 18( 25%) were new and common ADR cases and 3( 4. 2%) were serious ADR cases. ADR reports from departments of western medicine had larger proportion,accounting for 69. 4%. CONCLUSION: Clinical importance should be attached to the ADRs induced by traditional Chinese medicine injections to achieve rational choice of solvents and avoid possible adverse reactions induced by drug combination so as to improve the level of rational use of drug.
