On Renewal of the Knowledge System in Chinese History of Historiography: An Experience from Teaching and Academic Research

Chinese history of historiography is a systematic field of study,of which renewal of the knowledge system is not only an inevitable trend of development,but also a task in academic research and university education.In the knowledge system of Chinese History of Historiography,we should first understand disciplinary tasks and research contents of the course.Then,in the development of Chinese traditional historiography,we should explore the leading clue from interaction,complementation to exclusion between official historiography and private historiography.Historical truth conflicts with practical utility.Therefore,we should divide the accurate development stages of Chinese historiography,deepen and intensify case studies,inspect previous historical conclusions carefully,so that we can continuously update the knowledge system and improve the academic research as well as teaching in Chinese History of Historiography.
