Moral Education and Its Cultural Significance

Moral education is one of human being's ethical and cultural transmissions that aims at cultivating people to be moral and humane.In its essence,it is an action,a method and a process to put individuals into moralized behaviors that are suitable to the human kind.Therefore,the precondition to conduct moral education is to treat human beings as a species.Taking benevolence as its logic starting point,moral education begins and ends with the cultivation of individuals,teaching them with social ethics formed in the process of human development to nurture personal moral virtues.In this sense,it is ultimately humanitarian.However,since moral education is conducted under the guidance of different cultures,its contents,forms and means differ greatly from one another given that the national culture varies.
