Abstract
The characteristic and mechanism of dispersion polymerization were summarized in brief. The research progress on dispersion polymerization of cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) in aqueous media has been introduced emphatically. The effects of each component such as monomer, dispersion medium, dispersant, initiator, etc., in system for polymerizing cationic polyacrylamide in aqueous media on the dispersion polymerization and the relationship between each component was discussed in detail also.
