Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and practicability of comprehensive Chinese medical intervention on essential hypertension. Methods Total 261 cases of essential hypertension were randomly divided into two groups: intervention group was given health education, personal health guidance, healthregimen, sports therapy and other prescription, and control group was given conventional health modality. After 12 months, the blood pressure and hypertension-related factors and bad behavior proportions were evaluated. Results Effective statistical analysis of 259 cases showed that the intervention group gained significant systolic and diastolic blood pressure control, with the total effective rate of 87.7%,while no significant change in the control group;intervention group's awareness of hypertension-related factors increased and the bad behavior was obviously improved, with better results in the intervention group than in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Comprehensive Chinese medical intervention can control the essential hypertension and thus be adopted as the secondary intervention model in communities.
