Abstract
In 1956,Composer Qu Xi-xian adapted Pastoral as unaccompanied chorus which give full play to the human voice with its concise and colorful features and it became a classic among the chorus pieces.The adapted work shows the praise of the vast and rich grassland and the singing of the wonderful life by changing the tune mode and nature and the music structure;it also uses the way of polyphonic melody and harmony intertwining to make the music colorful and rich with a static and dynamic mixture reflecting the faraway depth and dreamlike,poetic sense.
