The Clinical Observation of Limbal Stem Cell Transplantation of Pterygium

Abstract

Objective To observe the pterygium excision combined with limbal stem cell transplantation in treatment of pterygium clinical effects.Methods Retrospective our hospital from February 2010 to February 2012,clinical data of 60 cases of simple pterygium patients admitted(66),were randomly divided into Group A and Group B,compared the treatment effect and recurrence.Results A group difference was statistically significant(P0.05) compared with group B recurrence.Conclusion Excision of pterygium with corneal limbal stem cell transplantation can be effective in reducing the recurrence of pterygium patients suitable for clinical use.
