Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical value of cystatin C and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein co-detection in diagnosis of early renal damage of type 2 diabetes, designed to provide further guidance on clinical basis. Methods 62 patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) in our hospital from January 2009-January 2010 were selected as the subjects of observation, another 35 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group, using immunoturbidimetric assay for cystatin C and C-reactive protein levels, and application of statistical methods for statistical analysis. Results DM renal dysfunction group CysC,hs-CRP was significantly higher than the DM group with normal renal function and healthy control group, and the difference was statistically significant,P 0.05;CysC,hs-CRP joint detection was significantly higher than CysC,hs-CRP testing as a single indicator, the difference was statistically significant,P 0.05.Conclusion Cystatin C and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein co-detection in diagnosis of type 2 diabetes is better than individual indicator of early detection of renal damage, should be promoted and applied.
