Abstract
The article introduces the advances of research of vibration of vehicle powertrain. From the view point of vibration, powertrain is divided into bending system and torsional system. The vibration characteristics of bending vibration is studied with experimental modal analysis and finite element method .The model of powertrain bending vibration has been set up and is more satisfactory. Many valuable studies have been made on powertrain torsional vibration. Owing to the restriction of analysis conditions , the studies on the coupled vibration between bending vibration and torsional vibration are not satisfactory, expecially in china .Hence, based on the satisfactory studies on the powertrain bending vibration and torsional vibration, it is necessary to research on the coupled vibration between bending vibration and torsional vibration.
