Abstract
Objective To investigate celecoxib′ s function of suppr es sing the growth of U251 glioma in vivo. Methods The U251 mice were divided into control and celecoxib group, and cell apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometry (FCM) and electron microscope. The expression of MVD was detected by immunohisto chemical(S-P) method in U251 glioma. Results The tumor weights of celecoxib an d control group were( 51.3± 3.85) mg and ( 125 2± 7.34) mg respectively. Electron microscopy showed apoptosis in celecoxib group, MVD in celecoxib and c ontrol group was (25.7± 3.25)/HP and (76.4± 9.41)/HP respectively. Conclusion Celecoxib can decrease weight of tumor, and induce the apoptosis of U251 in vivo.
