Curative effects of recombinant human acidic fibroblast growth factor on major oral ulcer

Objective To evaluate the effects of recombinant human acidic fibroblast growth factor(rhaFGF)on patients with major oral ulcer.Methods Ninety seven cases were chosen including sixty three MaRAU patients and randomly divided into three groups.They were treated with injection,rhaFGF external application and combination therapy.Thirty four traumatic ulceration patients were randomly divided into two groups.Control group was given no medicine and treatment group were treated with rhaFGF external application.Results Observing the time pain for MaRAU patients,there were significant difference between injection group and rhaFGF external applications group,rhaFGF external application group and combination therapy group,and no significant difference between injection group and combination therapy group.For traumatic ulceration patients,there was no significant difference between control group and treatment group.After ulcer healing,we evaluated the average ulcer period and whether scar and found significant difference between patients in each group.Conclusion Using rhaFGF alone can promote healing,but the role of pain relief are weak.The rhaFGF combined with injection has a good clinical effect on major oral ulcer.
