Abstract
The coloring reaction of the reagent meso-tetra-(3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxydroxyphenyl) porphyrin with Ge(Ⅳ) in the presence of Tween-80 were studied. Results show that the colour reagent reacts with Ge(Ⅳ) to form a stable green complex (1∶1) in the presence of Na_2SO_3 solution at pH 9.50. The maximum absorption wavelength and apparent molar absorptivity are 418 nm and 1.76×10~5 L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1), respectively. Beer′s law is obeyed in the range of 0~0.45 μg/mL Ge(Ⅳ). The method has been applied to the determination of micro germanium(Ⅳ) in tea and lycium.
