The correlative research between HbAlc and FPG

Abstract

Objective To research the relationship between glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc) and fasting plasma glucose(FPG) in patients with diabetes mellitus(DM),and discuss the clinical value of HbAlc.Methods HbAlc and FPG were measured by NycoCard READERⅡand OLYMPUS AU2700 automatic biochemical analyzer.Results HbAlc in patients with DM was positively correlated with FPG(r=0.895,P0.01).Conclusion HbA1c plays an important roles in diagnosis of diseases,monitoring of condition,the prognosis of diseases and therapy assessment in the clinical practice of DM.
