Markers of inflammation in patients with coronary heat disease

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the significance of serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),Interleukin-8(IL-8)and solube cell adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)in coronary heart disease(CHD).Method:The levels of TNF-α,IL-8 and sICAM-1 in 86 patients with CHD and 30 controls were detected by the method of enzyme-linked immunosobant assay(ELISA).Result:The serum levels of TNF-α,IL-8 and sICAM-1 in the patients with CHD were higher than those in the health controls significantly(P0.01).The serum levels of TNF-α,IL-8 and sICAM-1 in the patients with acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina were higher than those in patients with stable angina significantly(P0.01).Conclusion:TNF-α,IL-8 and sICAM-1 might participate in the occurrence of CHD,and were closely related to the CHD patients conditions.
