Abstract

WT5”BZ]A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of domestic sparfloxacin in comparison with lomefloxacin in the treatment of acute bacterial infections.Total of 70 patients entered the study. Each group involved 35 cases.Sparfloxacin 200mg orally once daily and lomefloxacin 300mg orally twice a day for 7~14 days. The results showed that the clinical cure rates of both groups were 80 00%.The efficacy rates, the bacterial clearance rates and the adverse reaction rates of sparfolxacin and lomefloxacin were 94 28%,97 14%;93 94%,93 75% and 8 57%,5 71% respectively There was no statistical difference between the two controlled groups( P0 05 ).This study indicates that domestic sparfloxacin is effective and safe in treating acute bacterial infections. It is very convenient to use it once a day.
