On the Development of Social Construction Thoughts in the New Period and Its Enlightenment

Since the new period,especially,since the Sixteenth National Congress of the CPC,the social construction thought of our party has been developed and matured continuously,and the key point of social construction has been placed on improving the people's livelihood.The social construction thought of our party involves promotion of employment,adjustment of income distribution,improvement of social security,development of social undertaking,intensification of social management,and other issues directly related to the people's basic and practical interests,and the results of development benefit all the people and facilitate the construction of harmonious society.The social construction thought of the party enlightens us that the social construction should be advanced in an all-around way at different layers under the premise of economic construction,focusing on the key point of improving the people's livelihood,following the principle of equity and justice,and with the guarantee of institutional development.
