Comparative Study Between Preoperative CT Staging and Postoperative Pathologic Findings in Rectal Cancer

Objective the correlation between preoperative CT staging and postoperative pathologic findings was explored. Methods 52 patients with rectal cancer confirmed by pathology were collected. CT appearance in rectal cancer was analysed, and compared with pathologic findings. Results CT diagnostic accuracy for the depth of invasion were 88.5%, for the lymph node metastasis were 96%, and the tumor size, depth of invasion, neighbour organ infiltration and the lymph node metastasis were showed well. Conclusion It is of important value in assessing the degree of malignancy and patients' prognosis that preoperative analysis of CT appearance in rectal cancer.
