Periapical curettage with root canal therapy in the treatment of refractory periapical periodontitis

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of refractory periapical periodontitis.Method Periapical curettage with root canal therapy was used to treat refractory periapical periodontitis.Results Among 38 teeth,37 cases were successful,1 case was failure after 0.5 month,and the success rate was 97.37% ;35 cases were successful,3 cases were failure in 2-year's re-check,and the success rate was 92.11%.Conclusion The long-term success rate is 92.11% for periapical curettage with root canal therapy in the treatment of refractory periapical periodontitis,and effect is affirmative.
