Reference Value Investigation of serum Total Bilirubin and Direct Bilirubin of healthy People in LIUZHU City

Objective To investigate the reference value level of serum total bilirubin and direct bilirubin of healthy people in Liuzhou City.Methods Serum total bilirubin and direct bilirubin of 19 637 healthy people in Liu Zhou City were determined with diazo reagent method and then were statisticaly analyzed in diferent groups of age and gender.Results In Liuzhou City, the mean serum total bilirubin of adult male was:(14.60±5.54)μmol/L,and that of adult female was(12.54±3.91)μmol/L.Conclusion There is a significant difference between serum to bilirubin level of healthy people in Maoming region and that reported in literature.It is suggested that reference value of serum total bilirubin should be established in the laborato- ries of diferent regions according to age and gender,repectively.
