Abstract

To investigate variance of serum bilirubin in patients with diabetes mellitus(DM) . Methods: The Serum bih'nibin of 40 cases of patients with DM and 40 cases of healthy persons(control group) were respectively detected. Results:In patients with DM the serum total bilirubin was not significantly charged ( P 0.05) , and serum direct bilirubin was significantly increased ( P0.01),serum indirect bilirubin was obviouly decreased (P 0.01) ,compared with that in control group (healthy persons) . Conclusions: The data show that to guard against rise of serum direct bih'nibin and fall of serum indirect bilirubin is important to patients with DM.
