Abstract
Objective To analyze the levels and its clinical significance of MMP-2( matrix metalloproteinase-2) and MMP-9( matrix metalloproteinase 9) for acute coronary syndrome( ACS). Methods From June,2011 to May,2013,76 patients with acute coronary syndrome were selected as the observation objects in our hospital. We also selected 70 normal people and 66 cases of stable coronary artery disease as the control group. The enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the levels of serum MMP- 2 and MMP- 9. The different levels of MMP- 2 and MMP- 9 were compared. Results MMP- 2 of ACS patients was( 204. 68 ± 38. 42) ng / ml,MMP- 9 was( 781. 62 ± 287. 37) ng / ml. They were significantly higher than stable coronary artery disease and normal people( P 0. 05). MMP- 2 of AMI patients was( 276. 82 ± 53. 86) ng / ml,MMP- 9 was( 793. 56 ± 264. 38) ng / ml. They were significantly higher than UA patients( P 0. 05). Conclusion Expression of MMP- 2 and MMP- 9 were higher in the patients with ACS. There was a close relationship between MMP- 2 and MMP- 9 and the patients with acute coronary syndrome. It was expected to become the prediction of serum markers for acute coronary syndrome. A deeper clinical research was needed.
