Abstract
Objective Explore the effect of high quality nursing on radical therapy of esophageal cancer. Methods 80 cases of patients with esophageal cancer were collected and subjected to and received radical therapy. The patients were divided into control and observation groups,40 cases in each. The control group was given traditional nursing care and the observation group was given high quality nursing care. The occurrences of esophagitis, improvements of anxiety and levels of radiotherapy compliance of the two groups compared. Results the occurrence of 3-4 severe radiation-induced esophagitis of observation group was much less than that of the control group when the radiation dose reached 40 GY or 60 GY.The difference was statistically significant( P = 0. 004 and 0. 001,respectively). The levels of radiotherapy compliance and anxiety improvements of observation group were significantly better than control group, the difference was statistically significant( X2= 6. 20,P1= 0. 045; X22= 9. 14,P2= 0. 002). Conclusions The high quality nursing care can reduce the incidence of severe acute radiation-induced esophagitis, improve the anxiety emotion and increase compliance of the patients.
