Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing on treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with radiotherapy. Methods 70 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were divided into observation group and control group according to different nursing methods. Patients in both groups were treated with radiotherapy, the control group was conducted with conventional nursing, and the observation group was conducted with evidence-based nursing. Efficacy of nursing was compared between the two groups. Results During the radiotherapy, the adverse reactions such as nasal mucosa reaction, stomatitis and radioactive dermatitis in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group(P 0.05); after radiotherapy, the comfort degrees in the physiological, psychological, social and cultural aspects in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P 0.05); after radiotherapy, scores of life quality in aspects of swallowing, pain, skin, gape, discourse representation in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P 0.05). Conclusion Implementation of evidence-based nursing can solve practical problems in clinical work, reduce the toxic effects due to rhinitis carcinoma radiotherapy and improve the quality of life of patients.
