EXPERIMENT OF IVERMECTIN INJECTION (WEILIJIA) AGAINST INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PARASITES IN SHEEP

Abstract

To investigate the anthelminthic effect and side-effect of Invica injection(containing 10mg Ivermectin at 1mL dose),30 sheep infected with parasites were injected with different dosages of Ivermectin,including normal dosage,double,triple or quadruple dosages.The results showed that Osteragia,Nematodirus,Chabertia,Trichuris(larva) and Dictyocaulidae(adult) were highly sensitive to Invica injection,and the deworming rate for them was 100 %.And it was 85.6% in Trichostrongylus,80% in Trichuris(adult) or 93% in Dictyocaulidae(larva).However,the total deworming rates for adult and larva of Nematode were 96.6% and 96.7% respectively,which had no remarkable difference.In the experimental sheep,no abnormal effects appeared.With a significant anthelminthic effect on different Nematoda,Ivica injection was easy to use and preferred to being popularized in sheep.
