Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Tolterodine on Bladder Spasm After Transurethral Resection of the Prostate

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of tolterodine in the prevention of bladder spasm after transurethral resection of the prostate.Methods 64 cases of TURP were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=32)and a control group(n=32),Weo bserved the frequency and lasting time o fbladder spasm,and the bladder washout times within 72 hours after operation.Results The frequency,mean lasting time of bladder spasm,and the bladder washout times of the treatment group is less than that of control group.Conclusion Tolterodine can be used early after TURP to effectively controlbladder spasm and reduce the incidence of complication.
