Clinical Study of"Tangluoan Capsule"in Treating Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Objective To observe the efficacy ofTangluoan Capsuleon diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods Eighty-seven patients with DPN were randomly divided into three groups:31 cases in the treatment group were treated with Tangluoan Capsule;0.9 g three times a day;and 30 cases in the control group were treated with Mecobalamin Tablets 500 μg,three times a day;the other 26 cases were in the blank group,and were treated with placebo,0.9 g three times a day.The course of treatment was 3 months.Syndrome integral,blood sugar,and nerve conduction velocity(NCV) were observed before and after treatment.Results The total response rate in the treatment group,the control group and the blank group were 71.0%,60.0% and 30.8% respectively.The efficacy in treatment group was significantly higher than that in the blank group(P0.01),and had no obvious difference compared with the control group.The safe indices including liver function,renal function and electrocardiogram had no significant change between before and after treatment.Conclusion Tangluoan Capsuleis safe and effective for diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
