Abstract
Objective In order to understand the epidemiological features of measles in 2004~2007 in Huaibei city and provide basis for measles control. Methods Measles epidemic situation and surveillance system operation in 2004~2007 were analyzed. Results The results showed that 738 measles cases were reported in the city in 2004~2007.374 were confirmed by laboratory.Of them,360 were local cases.Annual average incidence of measles was 4.36/105.The incidence peak occurred in spring and the most measles cases were children.46% cases had no clear immunization history and 27.8% cases had no immunization history. Conclusions The measles surveillance system was running normally and the sensitivity was relatively high,Measles had been controlled at relatively low level. We should enlarge the timely coverage of measles uaccinisation among children aged 8 months and 4 years old in the future.
