OBSERVATION ON GERMICIDAL EFFICACY OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SILVER ION DISINFECTANT

Abstract

Objective To study the disinfection properties of hydrogen peroxide silver ion disinfectant.Methods Carrier qualitative germicidal tests were used to observe the germicidal efficacy and stability of hydrogen peroxide silver ion disinfectant.Results The disinfectant containing 100 g/L hydrogen peroxide and 109 mg/L silver ion with a 90 min contact time could kill completely the spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger on the carrier and also on contaminated teeth of hemostatic forceps.After the stock solution of the disinfectant in airtight packing was stored at 37℃ for 3 months,its hydrogen peroxide content and silver ion content decreased by 4.98% and 3.43% in average,respectively.Conclusion Hydrogen peroxide silver ion disinfectant has relatively strong killing effect on the bacterial spores.Its properties are stable.
