Abstract
Objective To investigate the ch anges of angiotensin(ATⅡ) and vascular endothelail growth factor(VEGF) in patie nt with diabetic nephropathy(DN) and non diabetic nephropathy(NDN).Meth ods Ninety eight cases were divided in to two groups diabetic nephropa thy group(43 cases) and non diabetic nephropathy group(55 cases).Other 25 cases were controls. The contents of VEGF and ATⅡ,glycosylated hemoglobinC(GHbAlc) in plasma and urinary microalbumin(UmALB) were measured respectively by radioimmun oassay(RIA) emzyme immunoassay. Results The contents of ATⅡ,VEG F,GHbALc and UmALB,increased significantly in DN and NDD groups compared with th e those in normal controls(P0.01).The contents of ATⅡ,VEGF an d UmALB increased significantly in diabetics nephropathy group compared with tho se in non diabetics nephropathy group(P0.01).The content of A TⅡ positively correlated with VEGF and UmALB(γ=0.465,γ=0.485,P0.05) in patients with diabetes. Conclusion The increased l evels of ATⅡ and VEGF are both associated with the development, progress and sev erity of diabetic nephropathy.
