Abstract
The one-bath-two-step dyeing process of Seacell/polyester knitted fabric with disperse/reactive dyes was researched, and the suitable dyes was selected. Based on the comparison of the fixation yield, color difference and color fastness between two-bath process and one-bath-two-step process, the feasibility of the one-bath-two-step dyeing process was validated. The results showed that the appropriate dyes for Seacell components was ED reactive dyes; the fixation yield and color fastness obtained by one-bath-two-step dyeing process was similar to those of two bath dyeing process, color difference ΔE was about 0.5 and the dyeing time shortened 50% compared with two bath dyeing process.
