Abstract
The effects of Cd~(2+) in different concentration on the germination of bean are studied.It shows that Cd~(2+) raises germination-percentage with viability,index of seed vigor,the bud growth and root growth.When Cd~(2+) level ranges from 0.5 mg/L to 1.0 mg/L high level,Cd~(2+)is harmful to the germination and growth of maize.Cd~(2+) has more influence on the root growth of bean than on its bud.
