Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of bronchial artery embolization(BAE)in treatment of acute hemoptysis induced by bronchiectasi. Methods:A total of 28 patients with acute massive hemoptysis were recruited with bronchial arteriograghy and bronchial artery embolization for retrospective evaluation. Results:Among the 28 cases.20 showed obvious effect and 5 showed medium effect(16.7%)after the treatment. Conclusion:BAE has significant clinical value in treatment of acute hemoptysis.Superselective BAE is a more safe and effective procedure for treatment of patients with hemoptysis.
