On Xu Yuanzong's Academic Thinking about Literary Translation

Abstract
Xu's academic thinking about the purpose, the way and the standard of literary translation are studied through his achievement in literary translation . The purpose of the literary translation as proposed by Xu is to bring one nation's beauty over to another nation. The translator should make the best use he can of the resources of the target languages so as to make the reader understand , enjoy and delight in the translated text.
