Clinical Observation of Immediate Root Canal Filling for Chronic Periapical Periodontitis

Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the reason of acute attack and the method for prevention af- ter immediate root canal filling for chronic periapical periodonititis.Methods There were 182 eases between 12 and 75 years old with chronic periapical periodontitis,in which male were 84 and female were 98.All the cases had immediate root canal filling by TRIAUTO-ZX auto root canal filling instument.Results The rate of acute attack was 17.03%,in which femal was 17.34% and male was 16.67% (P0.05).The rate of 13～35 years old cases was 20.31%,and the rate of 35～55 years was 17.95%,yet,the 55～75 years was 17.64%,(P0.05).The rate of front teeth was 14.71%,the prmolar teeth was 15. 56% ,and the molar teeth was 17.43% (P0.05).The rate in the cases which the instrument cut through the periapical hole was 45.51%,the others was 5.63%,(P0.05).The rate in overfilling cases was 28.57%,and the others was 5.71%,(P0.05 ).Conclusion The individual factors of patients,the anatomy of teeth and the therapy were the main factors which caused acute after immediate root canal filling for chronic periapical periodontitis.In order to prevent acute attack,dentists must know the anatomy and variation of teeth clearly,prepare root canal sterile and dicrease the physical,chemical and biotic irritations.
