Therapeutic effect on retinal detachment with macular hole and macular rhegmatogenous retinal detachment complicated with choroidal detachment

Aim To investigate the therapeutic effects of retinal detachment with macular hole and macular rhegmatogenous retinal detachment complicated with choroidal detachment.Methods The patients who were treated by vitrectomy were divided into choroidal detachment(group A)and no choridal detachment(group B).During follow-up visit,retinal detachment and choroidal detachment resetting rate,visual acuity were observed.Results The condition of preoperative retinal detachment was close to each other between group A and group B(χ2=1.269,P0.05).All cases of two groups could reset retinal detachment and choroidal detachment in one operation.Visual acuity improved in 4 eyes(26.7%),7 eyes remained unchanged(46.7%)after operation in group A.Group B were 9 eyes(45%)and 9 eyes(45%)accordingly.The difference of vision improvement was not significant between those two groups(χ2=0.000,P0.05).Conclusion Vitrectomy combined with C3F8 or silicone oil is an effective method in treating retinal detachment with macular hole.There is no significant curative effect difference between group A and group B by vitrectomy.
