The analysis of surgical treatment in 40 cases of retinal detachment with choroidal detachment.

Objective To investigate the method and effect of surgical treatment for retinal detachment with choroidal detachment.Methods According to different types of retinal detachment with choroidal detachment,using different types of surgery,vitrectomy and non vitrectomy methods.Results The retina reattached in 33 eyes of all 40 eyes after operation.During the follow up of two to fourteen months,32 eyes kept the retina attached and one case suffered from recurrent retinal detachment.Conclusions Sufficient systemic steroid therapy must be used early before and after operation.The lace group had much more reattaching cases than any other groups.The retinal function recovery were related closely to the duration of retinal deatachment.
