Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of appilcation of ultrasonic scalpel in thyroidectomy. Methods All of 186 cases with thyroid disease under surgical therapy were divided randomly into study group and control group(each 93 cases).Study group was treated with ultrasonic scalpel, and control group was treated by traditional surgeries. Results Incision lengths, operating time,peri-operative bleeding, total volume of drainage after operation, hospital stays after operation,VAS had significant differences between two groups(P 0.05).Complications of study group was less than control group(P 0.05).Follow-up three months, incision adhesion, neck numb, neck pain, swallowing discomfort and subcutaneous nodules of study group were less than control group(P 0.05).Injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve of two groups in different surgical procedures had no significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion Application of ultrasonic scalpel in thyroidectomy can decrease the trauma of patients, without increasing injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve, worthy of clinical application.
