Abstract

China's entering the WTO is of great importance to Chinese banking industry. Chinese banking industrycan be much closer to the international finance and enjoy a rapid development. While at the same time, the foreign finan-cial structure, holding their advanced experiences and techniques, enters China to find opportunities and occupy the mar-ket. The scale of Chinese banking industry seems to be large. However, compared to some foreign banks, its competitivepower is not so strong. In this situation, Chinese banking industry should reform to meet the requirements of globalizationto defend the national market and should go out to conquer the international market.
