Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the current status of HBV infection among freshmen at 2007 grade of a College in Baotou, so as to provide reference for future prevention and control of HBV infection. [Methods] The five HBV’s targets in serum of 1 333 freshmen at 2007 grade were detected by the method of ELISA. [Results] Among 1 333 freshmen, the positive rate of HBsAg was 6.45%, and the positive rate of HBsAg in male and female were 8.63% and 5.10%. There were significantly difference between the positive rates of male and female (χ2 = 6.48, P﹤0.05); There was a significant difference in HBV infection rate between positive rates of HBsAg in urban and rural students (P﹤0.05), the positive rate of HBsAg was 4.70% in urban students and 7.62% in rural students. The HBV infection patterns among these freshmen were the two tri-positive patterns including HBsAg+, HBeAg+, HbcAb+, and HBsAg +HbeAb + HbsAb +, which accounted for 31.39% and 47.67%, respectively. [Conclusion] It is necessary for colleges to enhance the investigation of hepatitis B, strengthen vaccine inoculation and re-inoculation among college freshmen, and reinforce the health education on hepatitis B related knowledge so that to prevent hepatitis B epidemic on campus.
