Abstract
Objective To study the relationship of the expression and biological behavior of protein P53 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in colorectal carcinoma. Methods P53 and PCNA in 57 cases of colorectal carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry(S-P technique). Results The positive rates of P53 and PCNA were 82.4% and 75.4% respectively. The rates of positivity for P53 and strong positivity for PCNAA were correlated with the depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis in colorectal carcinoma. And the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of P53 and PCNA may be related with depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and clinical value of predicting prognosis.
