Abstract

High speed cutting machining is one of the important techniques of advanced manufacture.Net-shape blank machined by high speed machine tools is the development trend in manufacturing.High speed machine tools should have not only high spindle speed and high in-feed speed,but also high spindle and in-feed system acceleration.This paper discusses the concept and advantages of high speed cutting machining.It also studies both the development and application of the techniques of the foreign high speed machine tools and current conditions and development tendency of ours.The key technology and current development conditions required by high speed cutting machining of high speed machine tools,cutting tools and CNC control systems are also analyzed.In conclusion,the paper explores the application field of high speed cutting technology and its future developments in the area of high speed machining.
