Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze and evaluate the feasibility of simultaneous TURBt (transurethral resection of bladder tumor) combined with TURP(transurethral resection of prostate) for bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC) with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Twenty seven patients with BTCC and BPH were treated by TURBt combined with TURP.The follow-up period ranged from 5 to 60 months .Recurrence occurred in 5 patients, but no urethral or prostatic implantation.[Conclusion]Simultaneous TURBt combined with TURP for BTCC with BPH is an effective treatment, with little evidence of urethral or prostatic implantation.
