Clinical efficacy comparison of ziprasidone and risperidone on female patients with schizophrenia

objective To explore the clinical comparison of ziprasidone and risperidone on female patients with schizophrenia.Methods Ninty female patients with schizophrenia were selected from February 2009 to February 2011 and were divided into two groups,control group and observation group.Ziprasidone were given to observation group,and risperidone were used to control group.According to the positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS),the clinical efficacy were evaluated.Results The scores of positive symptom,negative symptom,the general psychopathology symptom and the total score after treatment in observation group compared with those after treatment in control group respectively,there was no statistical difference(P 0.05);The clinical efficacy in observation group compared with that in control group,there was no statistical difference(P 0.05).The incidence of extrapyramidal side effect,weight gain,sexuality and menstrual changes in observation group was lower than that in control group,there was statistical difference(P 0.05).Conclusion Ziprasidone and risperidone on female patients with schizophrenia has similar clinical efficacy,but ziprasidone has less adverse reaction than risperidone.
