Morphology of Digestive System of Garrulax sannio

Morphology of the digestive system of Garrulax sannio has been observed preliminarily by naked eyes and dissecting microscope.The results indicate that the tongue is thin triangle,The apex of tongue is furcate,with tongue root branching of and comb-papilla on the mucous membrane of the branches pointing backward.The length of the esophagus is 43.33mm.and the crop is different from aspect. On the surface of glandular stomach there are short and small papilla,and the muscular stomach is upgrowth.The length of intestine is almost as long as that of the whole body.The small intestine is relatively developed,with a length of 182.8mm in male accounting for 88% of total length of intestinal tract,while the female is 196.38mm and 88.6%. The caecum length is 5.46mm, The caecum occupys 4.87% of the whole length of the intestine.Rectum occupys 6.4% of the whole length of the intestine. Liver is separates into two parts.The pancreas locating in the flection of the duodenum is thin and long,which all divides into two parts.According to the character of the digestive system, we can conclude that the food habit of Garrulax sannio entomophagous.
